Artist on Art Presents

Sean & Laura Walker

Painter and sculptor, Sean Walker and belly dancer and educator, Laura Barnes Walker came on to Artist on Art to speak with Nada about their upcoming exhibition and performance at the DoonArt Tour.

Sean’s work  predominantly feature birds, fish, and marine mammals images depicted on wood panels using paint, wood burning, and some carving to highlight the images. His experiences is inspired by the lush and rugged Pacific coastline and ocean.

Dancer & yoga teacher, Laura has been dancing American Tribal Style Belly Dance (ATS) for over ten years teaching for the last five. Her troupe, Calla Lily Tribal  will perform a choreographed piece as well as ATS pieces that are extemporaneously by multiple leaders through cues such as a turn of the head and/or a wave of a hand. She teaches two classes each week at the West Side Studio on Swift Street in Santa Cruz.

Sean’s paintings will be available for viewing and sales at the 2013 Bonny Doon Studio Tour, Saturday July 27th & Sunday July 28th from 11am – 6pm. Calla Lily will be performing at 3pm both days.
