On February 20, 2012, UCSC PhD graduating candidate, game developer and actor Ben Samuel came onto Gamers on Game to talk about his work on the new indy game Prom Week and the new Hulu series Battleground.

While studying at UCSC as an undergrad, Ben was a dual major in theater and computer science departments. After graduating, he move to LA for his acting career. Ben got going on his acting career and was accepted into the Games PhD program here at UCSC.

During our interview, Ben spoke of how he got to star in HULU’s first original series – Battleground which premiered on Valentine’s Day, the same day as Prom Week. Ben has received very favorable reviews for his acting particuarly in the New York Times. It’s a fun show and Ben is one of the best things on it.
